Seriously, all joking aside, what kind of misguided trog thinks it's even remotely legal, let alone appropriate to post such an advertisment? I'm wiling to bet the HR/Legal department of the company isn't aware of this Captain's attempt to operate well outside of the equal employment opportunity act, not to mention the similiar hiring practices required at said company. Even if He/She simply prefers the company of a female pilot, this is WRONG.
My belief? He or She is a sexist pig.
Any young lady intersted in such an arrangement, that's OK, whatever you're willing to do to suceed is your business. More power to you. Honestly. However, check your self-respect and dignity at the door, and don't ever, ever, get your nose out of joint if you feel you are the victim of sexism for the rest of your career. Your willingness to tolerate it when it suites your purposes pretty much robs you of the right to ever deserve or expect a workplace where your contributions and presence are valued in a strictly professional manner.
I think we are capable of much better than this and I believe the vast majority of my Brother and Sister Aviators feel the same way.
My sincere hope is that this tool gets absolutely NO response save letters of condemnation from the rest of us and a severe "butt-kicking" by their employer.
