All I know is the last year I worked there I grossed 85K. I know about the accidents and certificate, still doesn't change things, you have to be responsible for yourself. Good common sense and skills are what it takes to make it in 135 Cargo. Go fly a Saab for northwest if you want the easy road...

It's no big secret, we had about 7 days a month off, if we were lucky. I never said I didn't fly my butt off for it, I was just giving some facts.
I wouldn't trade my current schedule and paycheck to go back to it, but it was what it was. Long hours, hard work, middle of the night. But it was good experience.

Good money while building resume

$85K while building TJ PIC sounds like a heck of a deal. You have to pay your dues somewhere. Now he is at Spirit, doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

I'm tired of reading everyone cry about how bad Grand Aire is. I believe it's a typical 135 charter operation, I've worked for far worse people than T.C. Granted the Hansa Jet's were not the greatest, but I flew the Falcons for 5 years there, and the aircraft is remarkable and very safe, I also made some good money there, and got some great experience. Everyone always says how bad it is, how about taking some responsibility for yourself, If your the PIC, make the decision, if the the planes broke don't take it. T.C. will scream and bitch all the time, but if you stand up for the regs and what's right, he will respect you ( eventually ).

Well stated. I cannot stand those that b!tch, whine, complain, etc. If you don't want to work there then d o n ' t . Pretty simple and requires very little thought if any. I am sure they will not have a problem filling classes and quite frankly I would suggest the place to those I know who were looking to better themselves, actually I have already done that and will continue to do so... !! !! I am actually putting a friend in contact with someone there right now to explore the possibility of employment.

If you want to be spoon fed and not have to have any responsibility then marry a rich b!tch and get out of this industry and you will have no worries.

This place is no different than most of the 135 operators that I have came across.

I would never steer anyone against any operator based on a person's opinion(s) from this board.
