They say I'm going to Bus school in late Nov, or early Dec !!!

What a fun, relaxing interview - even the Van Reavie weave was OK

Gongrats Sandhawk!! Welcome home :)

Welcome, but it will most likely be LAS, not PHX.

The LAS domocile awards are out and P3050 through P3092 were involuntarily displaced to LAS.

Jet Monkey,

I'm not sure who you are but I think you were in my Airbus systems class. I believe you and my sim partner are going to LAS also. If you don't want LAS, you will be able to get out with the next vacancy bid this winter.

See ya around the school house,

Gupp

Sandhawk -
Congrats!!! How long did you have to wait for the interview? I've had my app in Since June 1.

Hey ATRCAPT,

I recieved my app in late July and mailed it back immediately. I interviewed Tues + Wed this week. So, I guess it took about 2 1/2 months.

Good Luck!

I don't want anything to do with LAS even though I'll be a lineholder right off the bat. Who says anything about another vacancy this winter? There's no language to allow those invol'ed to LAS to come back to PHX without a vacancy posted. So new hires could get placed in PHX same seat, same equipment even though junior to invol's in LAS wanting to come back to PHX. Once again seniority means nothing.

Saab,
How long have you been with AWA?

C'mon, Vegas ain't that bad.... Vegas baby, Vegas. Plus, you can bid PHX relatively soon - right? Great job on the Bus - I hear it is a great aircraft and a fun ride... For those of you who are new to the Bus and now on the line, what do you think about it?

Living in Vegas is great!!

Some brand new apartments/condos/homes in my area if you're looking for quiet living, but close enough to the bars and casinos.

Hey Gupp. Yeah, I fall right in the middle of those P#'s. Guess its back to commuting for me. That's ok, Las Vegas is just a quick 50 min. flight from home for me. Sure beats the 2 hour commute I had before.

Viva Lost Wage$!!!

I haven't been around long. The seniority rant was just frustration speaking. Seems like the same seniority circumventing crap I had to deal with at my former airline. Still happy as hell to be here just thought I'd be finished with the commuting lifestyle..........been hard on the family and all.

Since the last vacancy bid came out, we have hired, what, about 30 to 40 new pilots. Between now and the end of the year we will have fifty more. We will need more captains to fly with these new hires. Besides that I heard from a union type that a vacancy bid was forth coming.

Buck up Saab it will probably work out better than you may think.
