I have a drop in DAB around dinnertime tomorrow. Anyone have any good recommendations for seafood?

How far are you willing to drive?

There's not much around the airport.

15 to 30 mins puts you in range of a number of decent places.

High Tides at Snack Jack is a local dive with good food right on the beach, but it's a 30 min or so drive North along the beach.

Closer by in New Smyrna Aunt Catfish's or Sweetwaters used to be ok, but I haven't been there in years.

Downunder (under the bridge) was another good local dive.

Down the Hatch (?) was a great dive in Ponce Inlet

Go to the Ocean Deck for a good time and good seafood too. From the airport take International Speedway Blvd to the beach (East), After you cross the bridge the last street you'll run into is A1A, make a left and then the very first right. This is a small street kinda uphill. Go about 300 feet and it'll be to your right. Or even better, take a cab!

Pedro,

Thanks for the link.. I flew with someone from Daytona and that's what he said. I use to live at that place during college!

yeah, i second aunt catfish's, but it is pricey. as for the down-under restaurant, i've eaten there and it's good.

just come to my apartment, i'll feed ya.

drive down to Titusville. Best shrip anywhere at Dixie Crossroads. It is a tourist trap (isn't everything in florida?)but it is gooood, and cheap. They have their own shrimping boats, so the get the best and sell it for great prices. http://www.dixiecrossroads.com/

Amen.

I don't eat seafood but my seafood-eatin' friends swore the place kicked butt.

I can attest to the "good times" either way... The less said about that the better LOL

If you're willing to stay up late try Razzles around 3:00am, there's always a strong fishy smell coming out of there around that time so they must have some good seafood!:D
