Story from Astar crews on the jumseat is that Astar is aquiring additional aircraft. Are they parking two old ones to replace them with not so old ones? where did Kittyhawk's 72s go?

hmmmm, that info was left out of the original post.

makes sense about KH aircraft. I dont put it past scumbag management to kill off the work force to scavenge up the planes. I bet they even go as far as hiring off the street rather than merge airlines. The corporate wheel of death does not care about lives, only cash.

So, is this asset sale true, or just jumpseat talk?

I'm sure there is some wishful thinking about replacements, but I have not heard that one. There are no memos or press releases stating such.

Not left out Shooter, I have not heard that one. Sounds like jumpseat talk to me.

I smell poop

The co. memo stated reason was that the Leasing Co., Aviation Capital Group, informed Astar that they wished not to continue the lease on two 727's with us after the end of the year.

Now I ask you. In this day and age, who the hell is gonna pay more for 72's. A more realistic reason would be that the lease on these aircraft was up and Das demanded a dirt cheap renewal rate. ACG told him to pound salt and elected to take that A/C back.

FAJ

Or he tried to buy them and they said pound sand. He isn't very good at buying stuff.....can you say O fer?

Heck he isn't very good at hangin on to what he's got! He is a loser. That word ought to be stamped on a giant friggin banner and hung on the Astar headquarters.
