GoJets is the bottom of the barrel scum of this industry. This topic has been beat to death time and time again. It is not worth explaining why everyone feels this way. Do a frickin search and get informed. Or better yet, ask someone who worked for TSA when this shi*bag company was created, and get the real scoop.

In the strongest pilot hiring market in many years, there are still a few people who bring up...

"why not work at an alter ego?"
"upgrade is shorter....by two months!" etc....

If you are serious about your career and you are considering joining an alter ego carrier, you might as well:

1. Try and fail every checkride.
2. Put yourself on the TSA watch list.
3. Pick up a couple of felonies and DUI's.

The above measures will similarly aid your career, much like joining an alter ego carrier, Gojet.

Yea sure, you got urs, meanwhile every other airline relaxed their scope so you could upgrade in that 70. Just wait till the old guys at CAL relax the scope for a couple of more bucks and you end up on the street, maybe then you will change your tune.

That why they keep advertising on climbto350 for pilots. I also heard that they just hired a new lady in HR just for GOJET Hiring. Yep I’m the liar

Sorry to disagree...well not really. Everyone does not feel GoJet is somehow worse than any other Regional. All Regionals are basically the same. Go work there or elsewhere depending on your own personal needs and desires. It won't work against you later in life and it may very well be the best for your situation. Don't let the union zealots affect your decision, especially from Flight Info. If you go to GoJet you will feel about it just like most regional pilots feel about thier own airline.

The basic sour grapes expressed here are simply the union zealots who have not gotten over the fact that their own MEC at TSA is responsible for GoJet seniority being separate from TSA. They are the ones who urged the TSA pilots to vote down the integration proposal because they were told they would get a better deal. They were wrong then and they are still wrong now. They just cant get beyond the fact that their own actions caused the situation they face today.

As for it having any negative impact on the rest of the Regional industry that is silly. All Regionals are the same...alter egos....for whatever major they fly for. Thats the facts despite the rhetoric you may hear on here. As for the lies and threats you see about your future, ignore it. It is simply the typical bully tactics used by your typical union zealot. When facts don't work resort to name calling and intimidation tactics. Well most people know better than to fall for that and I hope you do too. Good luck whatever your choice!

Since the NMB has issued their ruling, without further evidence, or possibly a Democrat in the White House, they will no longer be helpful. So sadly there are only two possible options to make GoJet go away.

First option is to come out with an outright attack saying that flying for GoJet could potentially end your career, aka a hiring ban. Much the same tactic that Duane Worth used to control Freedom. Go to the flight schools, take ads out, and let the pilots there know that going to GoJet would be harmful to their career. The result of this would be to make hiring so difficult that TSAH would have to legitimize GoJet.

Second, and much much less popular will be to "sleep with the enemy". He would have to go to GoJet and convince them that ALPA is a better labor union and that the Teamsters will not be able to give them the same quality of life that ALPA can provide. Once they are part of the ALPA fold they can be more easily assimilated.

Neither option is very easy and each had their own downside. But the current do nothing option is not working. It will not bring closure to this situation.

Now to the Skipster. I couldn't agree with you more. Prater needs to answer why TSA's isn't in a federal court yet. TSA keeps saying if you don't like it grieve it. But then when they loose, they still don't want to honor the decision.

You all seem happy to talk about union intimidation and how "misled" the TSA pilots were.... And then "threats" for another pilot at another carrier... But really, how informed are you? Were you there? Are you just blindly spouting what TSA mgmt has fed to you, or are you really informed??? Did you ever talk to ANY union official, or is this just what DT and SP were whispering in your pathetic automaton ears???? Come on, you have no ground to stand on... You were not there, you went the alter ego path, and you are not liked... I, for one, love to see you guys in ORD.... Even in another uniform, I still can't get ANY of your "guys" to keep eye contact... No pride from a group that screws over others... Now that is a pilot group!!!!!

I've been biting my tongue on this for a while now, but yesterday I bumped into a good friend from a long time ago (fellow Riddle grad) at the FlightSafety facility here in St. Louis. He's here training for the CRJ700....for....GoJets..... He's a good guy and I can't keep my big mouth shut any more.We're all in this industry for the same reason. To make money through flying airplanes for a living. Some of us have kids to feed... SO EASE UP.I happen to be here in St. Louis training for the E170, for Republic. I'm here after flying the Beech for Colgan in the Northeast. Whatever problems existed as a result of Colgan "stealing" routes from the USAir guys are no longer valid... that was a long time ago. Nobody is still pissed at Colgan. Maybe it's time to ease up on the GoJets folks. Maybe it's time to give the GoJets thing a rest.LISTEN-This is just my opinion. Dave congratulations on getting the 170, riddle must have been worth it. Since you are in training and obviously did not have time to do a quick search and actually research this topic, i will briefly summarize. You comment about "stealing flying" from mainline. This is a free market society, and regrettably quality operations such as EXJet and AWAC lose out to other regionals in favor of the bottom line. This is not the case with GJet or Freedom. United awarded the flying of those CRJ 700s to TSA. That flying was awarded based on MY contract concessions and on MY on-time performance (we lie, but hey it looks good on paper). MY company used the profits (Hulas made $31 million profit in 2005 off of me) from MY operation to buy shiny new a/c and use MY company's infrastructure and resources to create this new airline so that the cheap azz company wouldn't have to pay its pilots a decent wage. They could instead pay a sub-industry average wage to 1st year captains, that is why the company created hojets. I have an utter disdain for ALL hojet pilots b/c they are knowingly bypassing seniority to personally cut infront of me (yes i am senior to every hojetter). That was MY upgrade that was awarded to MY company. I waited inline to "feed my kids." So yes, I personally have a problem, and will not "ease up", tell your buddy that he will never ride in my jumpseat.
