WTF were you thinking??? I was riding right seat in a Lear 35 for a 135 Charter operator 10 years ago making $35k!!!neflier said:A couple of years back, I was paid $35K to sit in the right seat out of a major NY base.
Maybe because NEFlier needed a job, and wanted to fly right-seat in a Gulfstream. Probably a couple years ago he didnt have that much total time, and congrats to him for landing such a sweet job (bad pay or not!).Falcon Capt said:WTF were you thinking???
You hit the nail on the head. I needed a job, had very little time and had the opportunity of a lifetime handed to me. How many guys with under 25hrs of ME time would turn down the right seat of a G-IV for 35K?User997 said:Maybe because NEFlier needed a job, and wanted to fly right-seat in a Gulfstream. Also, you do notice he speaks in past-tense about it, so he obviously didn't stick around too long on it. Probably long enough to get a better paying job.
How many reputable companies that operate a G-IV would hire someone with 25 hours of multi-time to fly right seat?neflier said:How many guys with under 25hrs of ME time would turn down the right seat of a G-IV for 35K?
DOH! The hammer hits hard.Falcon Capt said:How many reputable companies that operate a G-IV would hire someone with 25 hours of multi-time to fly right seat?
Well C'mon, lets be realistic here... And lets ask one more question, how bad of a job was it that a low time guy like that would take and then actually leave the job???kevdog said:DOH! The hammer hits hard.
OH NO!!! Is this Archer??? I am having flashbacks to Archers "Skybar" thread!!!User997 said:Falcon, my buddy... sit down here, have a little drink, and cool down a little bit.
No way! The only association with Archer that I have was the Piper kind when I was learning to fly.Falcon Capt said:OH NO!!! Is this Archer??? I am having flashbacks to Archers "Skybar" thread!!!
