Yes, I heard that as well. On today's flight, there were many more orange and red trees. It's got to do with the severe-extreme drought conditions. Most of the trees are under extreme stress and the lack of water is why they are turning color and shedding leaves early. Also kind of interesting...the locals are saying the water temp is up for lake superior. I don't know if the same is true for lake michigan, but what they think is going to happen is that it will cause more snow this winter.
