Sarcasm or not, he does make a valid point. From the few guys at the airports that I've run into and kicked this idea around with, that is something that they bring up. Whether or not "thanks" was the response "you" were looking for is inconsequential. FlyFlyFly did open up a different perspective on the topic and that is pretty much my whole point of starting this thread; to gain the perspective of those with experience in the field.
