getting a job with a violation

I did this when i was interviewing 2yrs ago. IF memory serves I went to www.faa.gov. follow the links to pilot records, then print out form and mail in. I believe thay want $5 to cover costs, but they mailed me back a check for the unused portion--honestly, I never expected that! The packet included everything from medicals, to written/practical scores--and yes busts.. hope this helps you.

If you haven't had a violation or a "letter of investigation" yet it's because you're either real lucky, real good or you don't have any experience. For the average pilot (myself) included it's just a matter of time and taking responsiblity for your actions. It's can be compared to ground looping a tail-dragger, if you fly one... It's just a matter of time.
