If they had listened to him about not doing the 100% troop withdrawal from Iraq, well there might not be an ISIS problem there today. But BO had a campaign promise to fill and we know what is more important.

I learned of John back in 68 when going through SERE school before going to Vietnam. He will always be a hero in my book.

Is the Bus autopilot Data-Linked somehow? How could some random flight tracking website know what was dialed into the altitude pre-select?

What 2000Easyguy said. Not satellite, but the mode S transponder data. There is a large network around the world of computer and radio hobbyists monitoring ADS-B signals.

Many are sophisticated enough to do multilateration and also network with flightradar24 and other services. They can get a position fix based on timing the transponder signal, without using the FMC position. They can get reams of other data too.

One of the data frames sent from the plane is the MCP altitude setting. Thus, monitor sites saw the altitude set down to 100 ft after that punk locked the captain out of the flight deck.
 
It looks like there was a fire, blacked cuts on the hills. But it was spread over a wide area and burned out quickly with nothing else to burn so there was no secondary fire. Heard that the crew was unconscious during the descent, That is from preliminary CVR data.
