Many airlines are producing their own Standard Operating Manuls (SOP), are there any airlines that are using the manuals as is from Boeing?
Why are so many airlines rewriting and changing Boeings manuals?

If flight training departments had no Management types who's agenda was to make a name for themselves, this would not occur. But then you would never hear things like " Oh yeah, I came up with that procedure". Boeing SOP would be a standard in the industry. After all they are the ones that built it.....Wy fix something that is not BROKE? Notice how procedure changes seem to coincide with a changing of the GUARD:confused:

Different companies have different cultures . . . different procedures, different checklist philosphies.

Boeing may design and build great airplanes, but that doesn't mean that their "airline procedures" work for everyone.

Ah yes, so goes the old airline saying:

There are 4 ways to fly a plane.
The way the manufacturer built it.
The way the FAA certified it.
The way the company manual sez so.
And the way the Captain flies it.

Not to start a CRM flame thread, just an old, old airline saying...
