I was tinkering in the com panel where I switch between mic1 and mic2, com1, com2, etc. I noticed an option "split-com" - anyone know what this is and what it's for? I haven't dug into any manuals yet. Curious if anyone knows? It seems as if you can simulcast across two radios?

Yes, you can monitor the 2 radios simultaneously. You can only talk on one but will hear radio 1 in one ear and radio 2 in the other ear. It's really handy for getting an ATIS while still hearing Center comms.

Thanks. It was interesting that it basically selected both coms and mics, i.e. all four.

Can also be handy for monitoring CTAF at a nontowered destination while still communicating with approach.
