I think the recall issue will end up similar to the recall rights issue we had at AA right before the furloughs started. In Sept 2001, when AA announced the first furloughs, by our contract anybody that hadn't finished training (had an 'occupational seniority' date) was terminated without recall rights. Well, the nice folks at AA didn't want to come across as a bunch of meanies, so they and the APA agreed that everybody had recall rights regardless of occupational seniority.
I doubt that anyone who is currently on furlough has to worry about being terminated when their time runs out. If it looks like it will become a problem (and it definitely may) then extended recall rights will be given. It costs the company nothing.
