Not really at all, but now that I have your attention.

I'm getting ready for an interview with a glorious regional! After reading the CRJ AoA thread it got me thinking. What books/ publications did you guys study up on?

So far I will be reading these:
1. FAR/AIM
2. Instrument Flying Handbook
3. Jeppeson Instrument Procedures Guide
4. Good Ole' ATP Gleim
5. Generic "How To Interview" book. Not aviation related, but just to make sure I don't have the taste of shoe leather during the interview.
6. Turbine Pilot's Manual
7. CRJ Systems book(900 pages of glory)

Besides working on my handshake, showing up early and wel dressed/groomed, good atitude, not hungover(!) any other books/ advice you guys have would be great. I'm sure that there are a few of you that have been to at least 1 interview!

As far as the tech/FAR-AIM side of the interview you've got it covered, maybe too much. Nix the CRJ stuff unless you've been flying one. Concentrate on the ATP and FAR/AIM questions. Know the aircraft you've currently been flying or have the most multi time in. As for the HR side use www.aviationinterviews.com for HR and company specific questions. eveything else seems good though. Keep it simple, break it down to 4 catigories:

1. ATP, FAR/AIM, instrument procedures
2. HR and other interview type questions along with practicing being yourself and being calm bla bla bla.
3. Your current aircraft and maybe past aircraft systems
4. if applicable - sim eval, use Flight sim whatever number with a yoke and then rent one like the one used in the interview if possible.

Sine Nov.1997 I've been to 7 interviews, 2 135 charter, 1 frac, and 4 121. Of thoes I was hired at 5 and turned down by 2.

I was turned down by COex in 1998 because I messed up 2 of the FAR intstrument type questions in first interview and was sent home early. In 2004 I was turned down by Citation Shares again I feel that I lost the interview in the instrument technical portion where the CP grilled me on the Aspen plate and another plate for the approach to Poughkeepsie.

Same here aviationinterviews is the best way to prepare. Don't rely on it as your only study material though, use it as a reference on what to study.
