I really appreciate the ride.....you are all top-notch :)

The next chance I get I will definitely cheers ya when I get a chance :)

Any chance of getting on at F9 without a "Silver Bullet"? Would love to get back to Denver, but don't want to work at UAL.

Thanks

it's a uphill battle without a silver bullet...but I have been told that it is possible to get interviewed without one. Definately apply, then do a little jumpseating if you can, i think you will find that most guys here will help you out if they can, assuming you aren't a total jerk! anyhow, best of luck, PM me if you have any questions. c2s

Half of my class (Mar 07) did not have a silver bullet, but did know someone in the company that talked to the right people for them. I think that might be as important these days as a bullet.

A "defacto" Silver Bullet.........per say ? :)

If you already have a silver bullet, get him/her to stop in to the Chief pilots office, one of the secretary's can pull the applicants file and look it over for errors or reasons/suggestions why a call hasn't happened. Then get your SB to speak to a couple of the folks on the interview panel. When they aren't actively interviewing, they spend time looking through the files for future invitees. If you Sb doesn't know who they are, PM me and I can give you a couple names for him to talk to. Hope this helps. c2s

The silver bullet is simply a form, so if you really are the one, the person recommending you should have already turned into the secretary. Have your friend speak to one of the ASSISTANT chief pilots, they are the ones that have the power to select a person for an interview.
Hang in there, it's worth the wait...great place to work at!

...

HEY "climb2slow". Your Avatar is amazing. I cant stop crying. Pure beauty.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For all the Frontier hopefulls I have a little warning/advice for you. I interviewed last August and as of then, Frontier did not call you for the interview. All you received was an email through Airline Apps. Hopefully their policy has changed. To make a long story short I missed two interviews I never knew I had. After some research I found out that Airline Apps has trouble with AOL addresses and a couple others. They actually had my two invite emails in their system saying undeliverable. Thanks alot!! On the third interview I actually made it to I did not receive an offer. I'm not going to blame it on the fact I looked like an idiot missing two interviews (it's still my responsibility to interview well) but you sure don't get the warm fuzzies feeling like you have a target on your back whether it's there or not. Good luck to all. It's a great company.

Wow so it normally would have been forwarded to your Aol account but they were having trouble with that? I hope the same has not happened to me! Thanks for the heads up.

I'll check when I get back o work next week, but I believe that we have started a pre-interview phone screen as well. It is my understanding that the interview-p[ilots call and conduct a brief evaluation prior to the interview invite. If this is the case it should have helped solve this problem. c2s

Hey c2s -

They are doing pre-screening over the phone and then offering an interview via e-mail. Apparently, it has been making the interviews a lot more successful.

I got my notice from Airline Apps on Aug 19 that I had an interview on Aug 29. I had to work and asked them if I could reschedule and they said it was no problem. I ended up interviewing on Sept 7 and got the offer on Sept 10. I did not have a Silver Bullet. I just had my stuff on file with Airline Apps for a couple years. I start class on Monday. Seems like a great place to work.
