I'll find out how LORs are going to be accepted, and shall post it here. There is a link from our website to the application.

Good Luck!

Boz,
The 3k seems a little high vs SWA I guess. But if you look at the other mins, it's not too much. But I wouldn't focus on the total time, it's all the turbine PIC you have which really counts. See ya soon,
J-

Yes

Frontier has and will hire furloughed pilots. I think they have to resign seniority at their previous carrier.

The ex-major pilots I've flown with are very happy here (of course they miss the $$$, but love the job.)

These seem to be EXTREMELY high minimums.

Given the current hiring environment and the stagnation at the regionals & fractionals 3K isn't that high. I've heard that 5K is competitive.

Again these numbers are in the civilian world. We do have a bunch of military folks, and I have no idea what if any multiplier is used for them.

Good luck!

That application is ridiculous. List all aircraft you have flown to the nearest hour. Break down instructing and PIC? Give me a break. I've flown around 50 different aircraft and they want me to break it down. How about a realistic breakdown like multi, single , instrument, etc. Even if I had everything on logbook pro the way they wanted it, it would take me a couple hours to fill in the forms.

Hi Ivan!

Most airlines apps that I'm aware of are similar. If U already have LBPro, just add the information needed now and update your logbook now, it'll only get worse.

I used to fill them out, and it would take me upwards of 20 hours to fill out the apps. Using LBPro has cut the time way down.

I know of several pilots with 7000+ hours who have gotten LBPro and have input all their data-I'm glad I only had about 2000 when I started.

Good luck.

PS-I've kept copies of all of my application tables/info, to help me in future apps.

Off-topic, but what's the point of the Goering quote Ivan? Be careful killer...

I think it's pretty self explanatory. Not a fan at all. Just goes to explain the unpatriot act BS. Well we now have secret police, constant monitoring of every citizens bank accounts, FOIA requests that are not being honored, warrants issued without your knowledge involving search and seizures. Religion being thrust further into everyday life, another completely incompetent federal department with sub-departments that are even more incompetent. The TSA, need I say more.

I definitively remember in grade school the teacher stating that we live in a "free" country, is anyone sure this is still the case? Flame away everyone but please use another argument besides the tired "if you don't like it you can always move." BS. It's much more patriotic to question than to fall in line with your hand held at a 45 above horizon and a 45 from the lateral.

Geez, how about that for a thread hijack. Sorry in advance.

another conspiracy theorist...

Do you feel like you're being followed when you walk down the street Ivan? Big Brother tapped your phone? Yeah, they're all out to get you! Having been personally shot at by those that did, in fact, attack us two years ago I feel some personal stake in this. I also gladly support your right to express contrary opinions, however weakly based. We should probably just stick our collective heads in the sand and pretend 9/11 never happened. That way you'll be "free" to do whatever it is you want to do without Gov't interference. You might start feeling a little less free when the planes start flying into the buildings again however...;)

Oh yea!

"You've gotta be shxxxing me Pyle. Do you expect me to believe that you don't know the difference between left and right!" GYSGT Hartman USMC

Humm! With >500 hours in the past 12 months plus 121/135 time as a requirement looks like they are cutting out the military guys. Should attract a lot of commuter FO's though.

Geez! They can't even spell `possess' correctly.

LUVin' the `other' outfit - my first and only choice.

Tweek:D

Your statement supports the contention of Ivan's quote:

"all you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

Riiiiiight..

Uh, hello? "Tell them they are being attacked?!" You fool, we WERE f*ing attacked. I'm not accusing anyone of being unpatriotic; cowardly is something altogether different. I'm merely stating the facts. Ignore them at your own peril, but don't saddle me with lame "the moon landing was a fake" attitudes. Goering and his Nazi buds were madmen who manipulated a country into doing their evil bidding. ANY parallel with America's response to 9/11 is so far off base I can hardly believe I'm the only one posting replies! Don't like GWB? Vote for John Kerry. But don't be so asinine as to imply the guy is on a par with the Nazis.

Neither can I, nor can AirlineApps.com I guess.

My advice to military folks (anybody) who have(s) a problem meeting the mins is to apply anyway. This application has been out for a whole 48 hours, and may have to be tweeked by the powers that be.

hoya,

I'm not big into conspiracies. I just believe in the rights given to me by our fore fathers. You can't have both freedom and security and I choose freedom. I know that there is a hazard of living in a free society and I accept that responsibility. This doesn't take away from my duty to uphold the law and report anything that may be harmful to the greater society. I don't need the federal gov't to take my personal freedom away to protect those who don't realize that living in a free society has inherent risks.

There are many ways to secure our country without giving away what used to be our freedom. Just getting the FBI, CIA, US Marshall Service, NSA, FAA, DOHS, TSA, State and Local police to act like adults and not getting in endless pissing matches would help immensely. These people act like old school Captains on a continuous power struggle. How about giving these people a week long CRM class? Canceling Clinton restrictions on the CIA helped but it will take time to get the network back up to it's full potential. Republican's always complain about knee jerk reactions to problems, but I don't remember hearing complaints when this poor legislation was pushed through without examining other options first.

hoya, the statement wasn't referring to 9-11. It was referring to the Iraq war. My displeasure with the patriot act was the only thing related to 9-11. I have absolutely no problems with our military reaction to 9-11. I wouldn't have a problem with Iraq if we were told the truth. Heck, I would have accepted that we needed to get rid of a bad guy. Fine with me, but don't serve me Pabst and tell me it's a Becks.

Never implied anyone was on par with nazi's, give me break. Just pointing out a little history in it's relation to everyone who constitently question's someone's patriotism when they don't march in line.

FYI,

I just filled out the F9 app using LBPro, and with nearly 30 aircraft to sort through, it took about 2 hours to finish. Not too bad considering how detailed they are.

F9 hiring:

Military - yes, recommend giving it a try. There are many military folks at F9, and the experience and training is taken into account.

Furloughed - One new pilot on the property who was in the last furlough group at United.

Best of luck. Airboy 2
