Managers and several BOD's of West Jet were in a meeting yesterday with F9 management downtown at the Grand Hyatt on Welton St. West Jet is the LCC of Canada. Remember if Congress passes leg. of foreign ownership to 49%, the US carriers are big cash cows and they need quick en-roads fast. From a source who works for Hyatt they arrived at Cent. airport (limo to Hyatt arranged by conference reservations office) and had a 8 hour meeting starting at 9 till 6 and then departed. No signs were put outside the conf room stating what group was meeting which is standard. Good Intel. Rates very credible since this persons know nothing about the airlines but knew I worked for F9. She did not get any names or further info. ??????
