Been quiet on the Denver front lately. Wondering if anyone has info on the latest with Frontier and Lynx?

What's the status with TA? I assume that the vote will not be done for another few weeks.

I heard rumors that although Frontier had plans to hire through June but they have halted this for a bit? Any truth to this?

What is the latest with Lynx? Still interviewing or are they also on a hold till they get some aircraft?

Did Lynx hire many outside of the check airmen slots yet or has this been it so far?

Waiting for Interview!

I had an interview scheduled back in Jan. and they cancelled it until a later date. Still have not heard back. I resubmitted my stuff just to make sure they know I'm still interested.

Hey - Lynx is still lining up interviews. So far the first class is filled- not sure on others. I know they are working on their offices - getting it set up for business. I heard they have hired many local experienced guys so far.

Good luck to all.

I don't think Lynx has anything to do with things slowing down at Frontier. They lost a record 14.4 million this past quarter due to all the cancelled flights from the freagin' snow storms in Colorado. I hope it's a good summer.

I see that Lynx is posting job openings for ramp people in Tulsa. Add that to Wichita and Billings as destinations for them.

Not that I have ever seen. As they say, they "are a LOW COST AIRLINE". That would cost $$ for a site!

That's funny...i could have sworn i visited Frontier's, Southwest's and Airtran's websites in the past few years.......

Don't take it so personal man. I was just making a comment as to why they don't have a website as of yet. I have spoken to many people that have interviewed there and they say that you can definetly tell that it is a low cost startup. No sign infront of their offices. Sidewalk infront of their office not shoveled for days resulting in the enterance door pushing snow when you use it. Paper, hand written sign on enterance door saying Lynx. It will take time I am sure to get things up and running, but then look at Compass. Their website is up and running already. Maybe it is just a matter or priorities.

Compass has been in-the-works much longer than Lynx and why would Lynx need a website to begin with? For example, does Horizon have a website? nope. I don't see why it should be a priority.

And in regards to their office conditions: Every business everywhere here has been bombarded with snow this year. That's nothing unordinary. So they have a paper sign. They haven't been there long. I'm sure they're more concerned with getting pilots in those new planes coming soon.

Refer back to the question that SkyDork originally asked. I don't give a rip about Lynx having a website or not, but he was asking for a website and I responded to his question about there not being a website. Instead of trying to correct me, try to help him. That is what I was doing when I said they do not have a website. Give the guy contact info if you have it.

DAYUUUUMM South!!!

Apparently Shrek and i are thinking the same thing here...how's it going Shrek?

I got a class at Spirit. From my experience (and others) this company is absolutely fantastic. The future growth looks good right now and the pilot group is second to none - I am optomistic about the business plan and am looking forward to the line !!!

I will be keeping tabs on you though.........you all will get through this and grow in the right direction again soon.

I may still actually move back to Denver (if I get the DTW base) soon - we need to get together for a few.

BTW it was 77 in FLL today - sry couldn't resist........lol

Congrats man!!!! Glad to hear you got out of TSA. Sorry it couldn't be here with us, but things seemed to have worked out well for ya.

Nice and warm there huh...good, i will be there for a 26 hour layover tomorrow (thursday) and Thursday next week as well. Gotta hit the beach a little and do some searching for a boat and a place to keep it. Came down last week and went on a fishing trip...only caught one though, but a nice 20 pound Amber Jack...talk about wearing my butt out by the time i finally got it to come up...my arms were rubber after that...but it was fun!!!

To the original poster...I am sure by now you have seen that the TA passed this last week...hiring should continue i would believe, at least as much as i would think, we are taking five airplanes in the next 4 months, so we need to crew them, and then the 320's start coming next year (10 of them)...you figure probably 5 crews per airplane, makes for approximately 140 +/- pilots in the next couple of years.
