Usual BS???......what's with you RJ guys and the "attitude"? Think you'll get through a board interview with that chip on your shoulder? Guess Again!!
Good luck in your career endeavors:rolleyes:

Now back to our originally scheduled programming

phxflyer,

i didn't mean to come across as having any attitude- I was just asking for the usual info. I think you need to take another prozac or go rub one off or something. relax

PHX,

Dude you need to chill out. The guy asks a simple question and you jump him with the "attitude" thing. Then you go on with this "RJ guy" thing. Please, what a joke. Believe it or not there is BS with every airline job or any job period.

From what I hear Frontier guys seem to be pretty happy. Don't know enough about them to say anymore.

And PHX, make sure you stay a dot up on the slide. I heard the 757 can really rock that POS Airbus.

Pudgey;

Your response to my post speaks volumes... The defense rests!:D

Have a Magnaminous Christmas

Have you flown the bus before? Yeah... Didn't think so...

Re; "...the guy asks a simple question and you jump all over him with the 'attitude' thing "

I don't know, it just struck me as a somewhat flip response for someone looking for interview information at a specific airline and then refering to it as BS. If you we're a Frontier crewmember,would you want to give him the skiiny on how to get hired? If I we're an HR type reading this web board, I would be left wondering what else this person thinks is BS regarding my company.

Re: "...there is BS in any airline job...."

No kidding!!! And with the amount that has been dished out since 9/11 you have to wonder how and why we put up with it all. Couldn't be that we all enjoy flying now,does it?

Re: "... heard the 757 can really rock that POS Airbus."

It can rock the 737 pretty good too!....:D

Have a Nice Christmas

You're a Cpt. If you don't know what the info in Frontier is or how one gets hired and the quality of life is you're doing something wrong in your career. I know I have 1/4 the time you do and I don't fly for a company but any tom, dick, and harry in the aviation industry can figure this type of info out!!

Anyone have any info on Frontier? Did a search and couldn't find anything.
Hiring?
Quality of life?
usual B.S.

Pudgey...I don't know a lot, but I'll take a shot since you are getting nowhere in response to your question...hiring should ramp back up in later 2005...people seem to like it a lot there...they fly new A318's and A319's with TV's and are almost done getting rid of their old 737's. They fly mainly out of Denver, have an inhouse union and have been around in their current form since 1995 or so when CAL pulled out. Before that Frontier was an airline there since about 1950 (?) and got bought out by People's Express in 1985 who went belly up while trying to take over the world. Hiring stopped abruptly a few months ago when they signed a new pilot contract going to hourly pay vice salary which resulted in less need for pilots as the ones on property had incentives to fly more. That's about all I know...good luck! Oh, yeah 5% matching 401K is the retirement plan.

I have no life outside of work. Scheduling has been pretty kind thus far.:rolleyes: A Cactus man cannot stand by and watch a fellow Cactus man take shots like that. Even if we do disagree from time to time.:D Quirks? C'mon you really think so?!?;) Merry Christmas to you as well...
See ya 'round the crewroom.

The Otter

PHXFLYR,

I flew it for Scenic Airlines. Did the Ditch thing for a while... Yes I also think it is a great airplane. As a matter of fact I would say it is my favorite airplane to fly, from a stick and rudder standpoint anyway. If you live here in PHX I know of a drop zone that operates one down in Eloy. Maybe you could bum around down there and beg for a ride. Actually I just remembered I know of a guy that flies there... If you're interested let me know.

Merry Christmas.

Ease up guy - he's just asking the usual question. Besides, I think it's time you updated your profile - 18,385 hours!!!! You flew this week so it's at least 18,395 by now. Tool.

Airboard;

This coming summer will mark my 25th year flying for a paycheck. This includes 3 yrs instructing, 13 years regional airline;just under 2 years at a Pt 121 non sked and 7 years at my present employer where I can hold Capt on any airplane we have. I started this with about 300 hrs or so in my log book in 1980 and have averaged 750 hrs a year since then. Do the math and tell me what you come up with,genius.

Oh, and by the way...... Have a Nice Christmas ..."Tool":rolleyes:

So why are you still jerking gear, if you can hold Capt. on any equip your company operates????

Hmmm......(a long, thoughtful pause inserted here)

Xanderman;

Thanks for the offer regarding your bud who flys Twin Otter's down in Eloy. (Sure you want to vouch for me?? ;) ) I'd take you up on your offer in a heartbeat,but I'm a commuter and don't live in PHX. Any chance of taking a raincheck just in case the living situation changes somewhere down the road ? Merry Christmas.....

"...why are you stiil jerking gear if you can.."

Oh, I don't know Frederick...Maybe it has something to do with wanting a few more days off each month to spend time with my family and watching my kids grow up rather than sitting around the crashpad on reserve waiting for the phone to ring. Maybe it has something to do with my wife's work schedule and being able to bid around it so one of us is home with our kids while the other one works. Maybe it has something to do with holding better trips that allow me to finish early enough on the last day so I can do my long distance commute back home that same day. It's called Quality of Life ,Fred... Any other questions?:rolleyes:

Hmmmmmm.....(a long, thoughtful pause inserted here,too! )

Merry Christmas

May have some new info after 5 Jan. The rumor mill is in full swing since the company started internal advertising of Jeff going around that day to meet with most of the employee groups.
