Does anyone have any idea when they will be hiring for the new wholly owned for Frontier? Any guesses on the pay scale and base/bases? Also do you think they will have a flow through to Frontier mainline? I would assume they will need to hire soon if they are receiving their first dash 400 in may of 07.

I don't know the answer to your questions, however, it was recently stated from a company rep that they do not have an operating certificate. I again do not know if this is true, but if they are starting from scratch today, it will be a while before things get started. Additionally, if they are lying and they actually do have a certificate ready to go, expect the pay to be brutally low. The pres of the company has gone out of his way a number of times to cleary emphasize that this will be a "small, regional" airline with pay and benefits of a small, start up. Who knows if they are playing games or serious about this venture. The only thing I know for sure is the pilot group as a whole is pissed, and everything possible will be done to keep this in house. The union has already authorized an emergency legal fund to pay for the impending lawsuit. Hopefully, for everyone in involved, this will get settled outside of the courts.

This was announced in the conference call. First class of management pilots and check airmen in mid-February. Then classes of 10 starting in March until around the end of summer. Flight Safety doing the training, but they didn't say whether that just meant the sim would be housed there or they are using FS instructors, too.

Take it with a grain of salt. They also said that the pilot group was "excited about the opportunity." Huh? Just goes to show you excited can mean a couple of different things.

So if you guys manage to keep all the pilots on one list I am guessing mins will be pretty high as will pay when compared to other regionals out there. I have a feeling though, that since they kept saying that the pay for the new positions would be lower, they will just put those pilots and all the other "Lynx" employees on a seperate list and make the pay similar to any other regional.

If it does end up being completely seperate from F9, I am guessing pilot mins will be 1000/100 sort of thing and will probably start around $20 an hour?

Any better guesses out there?

Very cool photos.....

Thanks, they are all for sale... 8x10s $20, other sizes also available.

The more you buy, the cheaper they get :)

You airport ops guys get all the good photos. Nice ones at Jeffco too.

If you have been an FO for a few years on the Q400 at Horizon and still have a few years to go before you upgrade, I would think there would be a few that would take the offer to go right into the left seat at the new Frontier/Lynx thing... I am assuming that upgrade time at Horizon is at least 4 years although I think I remember hearing 6?

Question is though, what will the pay/work rules be like at the new Frontier Express?

cool pics! you have the wrong company on the E-170 photos.... N827MD was delivered new to Republic for example.

Yeah, I just use their "auto fill-in" feature or they tend to reject the photos for bad information. I just go with what they have on there usually unless it is something way obvious.

Honestly, I don't even know who Midatlantic Airways is. I get emails all the time from some of the flight sim people wanting to correct N#ers and fill in flight #ers and stuff. I particularly like it when people tell me I took the photos at a different location, telling me it is impossible for that plane to takeoff on that runway at the time of day that I said it did. I guess runway 34/16 is only used in the mornings. :)

So any other Frontier Express news out there?
