frontier commuting

Hello all,

I just put in my app at Frontier a couple weeks back. I'd love to relocate out to Denver or LAX if they open a base. What are my chances of getting a call? I have 1400 turbine 121 PIC, 4000 TT, and a squeaky record. My problem is I don't know a soul at F9. Will I have a chance without an internal recomendation? Also, if I get a 737 type will that hurt my chances at F9? And, how often should I update my app? I'm going nuts trying to get out of the regional bussiness. I'd update my app every week, but I am afraid that might make me look psycho.

I have been on the A320 for 3 years now and I like it. I flew the B744 for 4 years and the B747 for 2 and I liked them to. The 400 is a great airplane, but the botom line is that you forget the an a/c if you don't fly it for a while. The Bus is easy to fly with tha side stick and the concept of common cockpit at Airbus is the best thing ever. What I really think is....Who cares?

Lovegun, these are tought times for job-seekers so sit tight. I applied online in Feb. and update each month. Still hoping for a call. I don't know anyone there but am trying to network as much as possible.

Understood....I'm thinking in this hiring environment it couldn't hurt though. At my airline (US Airways) there are literally hundreds of pilots - furloughed and those who just want out - who can't seem to get hired or even an interview. For the most part these are pilots with quals similar to mine. The majority of highly qualified pilots who are looking cannot find work these days. You've got to try and make yourself stand out from the pack somehow. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
