Fill it out ASAP. Check for typos and update regularly.V1 Rotate said:Thanks for the info. As far as the application process goes, how did you go about that? I don't know anyone over there, so I'm working on the online application right now. Should I send a resume in also? What was the interview process like? Types of questions? Do they pay for room and board during training? Thanks again.

The general rule of thumb is that carriers with only one domicile won't pay for the hotel in training since you are considered in domicile when you are hired. That varies by contract but that is the basic theory.

Is this really news? Does anyone have a pension left, besides our brothers in the freight business? See post #2, by Animal Tale, if you didn't catch it the first time.A friend of mine just retired from Frontier last week. I asked him how is the retirement pay is and he laughed and held up his hand in the form of a big fat zero!!

V1 Rotate said:Put it this way....I'm a 4th year FO at a Regional in the ATL area (hint hint) and I far exceed Frontier's requirements they have on their website. With all that being said, would you guys make the jump if given the opportunity or what? Other than the new wholly-owned that they've announced they want to start up, is there still hiring going on at Mainline? Aircraft on order?

miles otoole said:Very doubtful. 180,000K in less than 5 years? No way unless they somehow were able to find very risky mutual funds that returned 40% a year. The 2000/01 limit was $10,500, 2002: $11,000, 2003: $12,000, 2004: $13,000, 2005: $14,000, 2006: $15,000.
2001-2005: 5 year contribution limit, $60,000 + $4,000 company per year = $80,000. Not quite.
AnimalTale said:I probably wouldnt make the jump, if I were you. If you really wanted to make the jump you would have applied a long time ago. Plus, the commute would be a BIACH! Put your stuff into Airtran.
AnimalTale said:Airtran will not look at me because I have no 121 PIC. I'm not just trying to escape from a regional just because it's a regional. I do OK here paywise as far as FO pay goes. However, F9's pay is much better and the benefits seem to be better too. Who said I was going to commute? May have to temporarily til the house sells, but after that, who knows??? Does F9 even have a commuter clause?

No "commute clause". Hurry up and apply then. Majority of the people we hire have about 750-1000 hours PIC turbopro or Jet. And a Silver Bullett. And a Good Attitude.
I have seen a few hired with neither of these traits, so give it your best shot and Apply. I am sure your time FAR EXCEEDS our minimums but we have quit a bit of applicants and the only way to hire from this big pool is to "pick" the most competitive person.
Good Luck,

A Year? I know you don't know the exact answer, but ballpark it for me if you don't mind. Where is the affordable living areas in DEN, if there is such a thing? Say for a family of 4?
