Just wondering about opportunities with Frontier. How many are they going to hire? What is it like to work there?

Outstanding place to work - 40% growth through the end of 2006 (as of right now). New Airbuses, just received a 13% pay raise (FO's) that just put their pay slightly higher than Alaska. Good morale, excellent working relationship between management and the pilots. Can you see I'm a little biased? It's truly a pleasure working there, without the bickering and BS of a commuter! I hear there is a pool of 30 right now, next GS being in September sometime. They are supposed to hire approximately ten each month for the next couple of months, as they increase the number of Airbuses to 62. They have an online app, although it seems nobody gets hired unless they know at least one person with a LOR. Good luck - it's worth waiting for!

I'm not sure if airlinepilotpay.com is up to date with the latest raises but its pretty good.

I talked to the Boeing fleet manager the other day and he said interviews are being scheduled from candidates drawn from the on-line app system. I think 30 in the pool is accurate but new interviewees may hold a class before a poolie if they are shi! hot. Classes will be scheduled early Sept. Hiring will continue through 2006 with the current fleet plan of 62 new Airbusses, and more if they take the options for a total of 85 new Airbusses.

Good luck. It is a great company to work for and the Airbus is a very comfortable and quality aircraft to fly.

Flown with more deferrals and more broken apu's in the last month and a half than in a year and a half on any other airplane I've ever flown. All on jets that are 2 years old or less. The airbus is definitely not a quality aircraft!

I would really like to have the opportunity to work for Frontier. After going through the online application, I think it is required to have an internal recommendation. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone at F9. If any of you guys would be willing to help a fellow pilot, I could PM you more details about myself/my career etc. Then you could decide if it was worthwhile to stick your neck out for me.

Just curious, if airlinepilotpay.com isn't accurate for F-9, would any F-9 pilots mind posting the current pay scale, estimated time to captain etc. (inquiring minds want to know). Also how is your contract as far as commuting is concerned?

Do the app and you'll see they throw in their own conversion once you put in your sorties and times...it looks like it may have been .3 hours per sortie as my numbers came out a little higher than my numbers did at SWA.
