Henry was instrumental in helping America West receive a
government loan guarantee after 9/11. He aggressively supported
our application with members of the Federal Reserve and the
Treasury department, bringing the full support of GE to our
cause. I am certain that without Henry’s hard work,
America West would not have received a loan guarantee and
without that guarantee, America West would not have survived.

A little reality check for the AWA folks who thought they were flying for a growing, prosperous company that was in much better off the USAIR.

I think we have beat that horse dead enough. US Airways nor America West would've survived without each other.

Yawn!

If the Eastyz don't quit destroying airplanes, it won't matter how much money is in the bank - no one will fly US anymore.........

:pimp:

BTW - Who is Henry and what is your source for the quote ???

Hey Mc dumb a$$

That quote is regarding events after 9/11.....EIGHT YEARS AGO. How was USAir doing when they were purchased by AWA? Second time in bankrupcy...Hours away from LIQUIDATION. How about AWA...New hires ..New airplanes...New routes.....growth....ect...ect...

Damn just crawl back in your hole if you cannot produce correct up to date information.

Oh yeah one more thing...Parker and AWA paid off those ATSB loans early.

Except that AWA did get the loan and avoided BK. Where as USAir was in their second BK and about to liquidate. Big differenced. Would have AWA survived? Maybe/Most likely. However USAir would not have. Big difference.

Just my opinion.....

Here's a reality check for the Easties.

In accord with the foregoing and the entire record in this action, it is hereby ordered that Defendant USAPA and its officers, committees, representatives, and agents shall immediately, and in good faith, make all reasonable efforts to negotiate and implement a single collective bargaining agreement with US Airways that will implement the Nicolau Award seniority proposal unmodified, according to its terms. Defendant USAPA and its officers, committees, representatives, and agents shall immediately, and in good faith, make all reasonable efforts to support and defend the seniority rights provided by or arising from the Nicolau Award in negotiations with US Airways. Defendant USAPA shall not negotiate for separate collective bargaining agreements for the separate pilot groups, but shall rather negotiate for a single collective bargaining agreement that incorporates the Nicolau Award.
