I saw a post on here about the CP over at Freedom getting some guy in trouble a couple of weeks ago. I guess he helped himself right out the door as well, because I saw this posted today:

Certificate Chief Pilot

Responsibilities:

* The Chief Pilot is directly responsible to the Director of Operations.
* In the absence of the Director of Operations, the Chief Pilot has full operational control as delegated by the Director of Operations. Specific responsibilities/duties are as follows:
* Authority for interviewing, hiring and discharging of pilots.
* Responsibility for the flight crew training program.
* Responsibility and has the authority for the quality of the training of flight crewmembers.
* Authority for the quality of the training of ADEs, Check Airmen and Instructors.
* Authority for the quality of the simulators and training devices.
* Authority for the quality of out source crewmember training.
* Authority for the Aircrew Designated Examiner Program (ADE).
* Has the authority to establish and modify the Aircrew Designated Examiner Program (ADE).
* Assists the Director of Operations in coordinating operations policies and coordinates operation and training matters with appropriate activities.
* Designates sufficient check airmen to ensure all flight crews conform to standard procedures and qualifications as outlined in applicable FAA Regulations and Freedom Airlines, Inc. policy.
* Advises the Director of Operations on the status of flight operations and the training of flight crewmembers.
* Maintains a current Company Flight Manual for each aircraft.
* Has the authority to establish and modify the Airman Duties / Flight Deck Procedures process.
* Has the authority to establish and modify the policies for the Flight Load / Weight and Balance process.
* Has the authority to establish and modify the simulator training / device process and policies.
* May delegate authority to others but retains the responsibilities.
* Has the authority to schedule flight crews as delegated by the Director of Operations.
* Will assign duties to meet applicable legal requirements and maintain safe operations by establishing aviation safety standards and safe operation practices.
* Member of the Technical Publications Review Board.
* Member of the Operations Safety Committee.
* Member of the Flight Safety Committee.
* In emergency response to an accident or incident, assist the Director of Operations, protects the flight crew and crew records, provides technical support.


Qualifications:

* Must hold an airline transport pilot certificate.
* EMB 145 type rated.
* Have at least 3 years experience, within the past six years, as pilot in command of a large airplane operated under FAR Part 121.
* Will serve full time as the Chief Pilot for Freedom Airlines.

He took the Director of Operations job @ Air Midwest. And the F8 CP is not the one who fired the YV FO - It was the YV CP. I am friends with the FO that was canned. No one on this board has the correct story
