Hope you fine folks could help me out. Wondering if you take Southwest Jumpseaters?

Thanks in advance, RJ

I have been Jumping Freedom out of PHX to DFW and have only good things to say. Even got put in First Class.
They can ride on us anytime.

I jump on Mesa/Freedom every week and they (pilots, FAs, Gate Agents, Rampers) are always very nice to me. There are a lot of really great people at that company ther leadership obviously sucks. 2 gate agents trying to board 4 flights out of the same gate in PHX etc. There will be like 250 confused passengers in the B concourse at Sky Harbor all wondering which gate their flight is suppossed to go out of. It seems very disorganized at times and their employees still maintain a good attitude in spite of what poor leadreship they have. It really sucks when management does not realize that the most important asset you have at a company is good people! It will bite JO in the ass some day it is only a matter of time!

Passengers get confused if it was 1 flight at one gate. :D

Freedom pilots are NOT welcome in America West cockpits!!!

Yes, everyone knows that already. It's been said many times before.

Freedom was a non- union airline formed by MESA Pres. Jonathan Orenstein while MESA was in contract negotiations. Orenstein took all the 70 and 90 seat RJ'S Mesa had on order and gave them to Freedom to operate rather than Mesa. This forced the MESA ALPA pilots to negotite a concessionary contract that not only hurt them in some regards, but also dragged down the entire regional airline industry to boot. Sad part is , 28 Senior MESA pilots crossed over to Freedom to help get this thing off the ground in return for SKYWEST 50 seat RJ pay. I commute from the east coast , alot more challenging than your DFW commute. PHX-DFW is served by AA, Delta, America West and SW thru DAL.
Why anyone in his right mind would even consider a Freedom jumpseat ride home is beyond me

RJ;

Yeah, I know. We"re all looking for a ride home. Nobody more than me. But think about it. You got something like 25 flights between PHX-DFW operated by 4 different airlines. Last I heard 2 of those flights we're operated by Freedom . You mean to tell me you can't wait around for one of the other 23? C'mon man!

Relax PHXFLYR, didn't really know anything about them. I pretty much have my commute figured out and it doesn't involve them. RJ

Well,consider yourself "educated".....and good luck with your commute!

Geesh, didn't know all that. Really just looking for a ride home. RJ

RJones, take a look on the regional boards and do a search on Freedom. You'll find out what this scumb has done not only to Mesa, but how they have managed to screw other pilot groups that are in contract negotiations.

As a side note, I carry a Freedom pilot list and will NEVER NEVER give one of these boys a ride. However keep in mind, the only way to know of the original and real Freedom scum is to have a list.

Well, isn't that nice...an even smaller "p*cker" has come out the dark and spoke his opinion.

Stuff it buddy. When gate agents and F/A's put in the time, money, sweat and hards times as we pilots have to get to this position then maybe we might consider them.

The reality is that most of you all talk big here, but never say a word when it comes to signing the jumpseat form. (As it should be).

What?

You've got a real problem, not me, not the pilot's...something is buggin you. I'll bet your a lot of fun to be around.

I'm all for F/A's, gate agents, mechanics etc. within the company (SWA) to ride all they want. I go out of my way to help others when I can...it's our teamwork and attitude that sets us apart from the others. However, when it comes to off line jumpseats you simply cannot just give it away like candy...so you ask to find out.

It's all about attitude and from all appearances you've lost it. My thread was about jumpseating on Freedom Airlines, not about the politics of it and whom they/others will or will not let ride and why this person can or cannot ride.

It's the others that have posted replies to my thread that have prompted you, an alleged pilot, to post your banter. I typically do not engage in a discussion such as this with a person such as you...I fell victim and regret it.

RJ;

Give up on this guy..... he's just not worth the effort.

I think Les did something that he's ashamed of, it might have happend sometime between "83" and "85".

Just curious what you all see is wrong with jumping on Freedom. It's not like they're making any $$ off you. It's kinda like if I saw someone I didn't like hitchhiking I'd never give them a ride, but if I needed a ride home and someone who I didn't particularly care for pulled over and offered me a ride I'd take it and keep my thoughts to myself till I got home. It's kinda a work on them as your just adding weight and taking up space.

Nope. Never hired as a replacement pilot, and never crossed a picket line. Not that its your business. How long you been in this profession? Yet you think you got me and everything all figured out in a nice neat little package.

Keep trying. Its obvious you'd rather talk trash than the thread topic at hand. Thats typical of people who can't justify their positions.

Goodbye.

Les

Trash talking is what you do best Les. Everyone of your posts are of that nature, so I didn't think you'd have a problem with it. Lets also remember, you're the one that chimed in first. Good night.

I wasn't going to post anymore on this thread... but I do believe in running the guantlet if its my turn.

Your point in your post above is right dead on and I have no defense for that.

Les

Well hell, I guess we're done. It was fun while it lasted, have a good day Les. :)
