Jetblue pilots think they have an iron clad Pilot Employment Agreement (PEA) with a set of pretty cool Five Documents that are going to ensure an industry standard integration.

They are confident that they will do just as well as they would have done as an organized group under the RLA and they are secure in the knowledge that Jetblue has set aside 2 million dollars for their defense.

.....shhhhhhh......
This pilot group is COMPLETELY defenseless, without leadership, without knowledge, without funding, without legal representation, and without backing from management.

It's going to be EASY.

ENJOY!

"They" are confident????

Quite the opposite, ****************************** nozzle.

Line Pilot,

Don't even pretend to think you in anyway speak for the JB pilots...
And if you are one... you are a complete sell out!

He's just stating the truth. JB pilots have zero protections under the so-called PEA.

The PEA means jack squat under NY labor law because even with a PEA JB pilots remain "AT WILL" employees and the PEA only covers the terms for employment while employed. AMR (or DAL or UAL or...) could buy JB tomorrow and legally fire every single JB pilot without cause and offer new take-it-or-leave-it terms of employment. Or no offer whatsoever.

Enjoy the direct relationship! :D

(p.s. Yes, APA and ALPA are both well aware of this and are dumbfounded that the JB pilots have left themselves so exposed.)
