Focus Air, rumor or truth....?

Heard from a friend in the cargo business that Focus Air are having problems getting their certificate and that the may start furloughing crews.

Also saw on another bulletin board that Focus Air have lost a quite a few pilots to Atlas Air.

Wonder if the above is true, or just BS.

Don't know anybody on the inside, therefore this posting.

Do we have any Focus Folks on this here board.....?

Does anyone know if the proving runs were completed or not. Looking at a class date next month and can't seem to get any answers from HR dept.

Anybody on this board seen any schedules yet? Are they going to type F/Os?

Is that rumor still going around? I think thats where the CAT 747 rumor started as crazy as it sounds.

Has anybody actually seen their 747 move from the JetCenter Ramp? They could possibly run out of start-up capital before they get through the FAA bureaucracy gauntlet. Parking that thing at FLL can't be cheap.

It flew down to MIA and were parked there for a while.

Not sure about the current status of Focus and their Jet.

Current Focus class was sent home without tickets. It can`t be going very well over there.

Talked to guy that is interviewing with Focus tomorrow.


He said they are only one revision away from getting the ops-specs approved and that proving runs are starting within 10 days.

when were they sent home? Just talked to one of them yesterday and he is still in class....
