Can someone tell me how much a first year FO on the 190 can expect to make? I know there are a lot of variables when it comes to determining that, but I am just looking for a ballpark figure. Also for 2nd and 3rd year. Thanks-
Mongo

I have looked on those. I am wondering how much people are making when they go over 70 hours and how many hours people are averaging.

Hey Mongo,

I've been on the 320 RSV since Aug. and typically have been 'bringing home" about $3500 per month.

That is based on a 75 hour guarantee, 70 hours straight pay, 5 hours premium, or time and a half. I only fly 20-30 hours per month due to the fact that we are really fat on FO's in JFK and I bid weekend off.

If you live in base, it's possible to make more if you pick up RSA days. Basically a volunteer reserve assignment, pays time and a half above guarantee at 4:12/per day. Obviously you can do this if you don't live in base, but QOL will suffer.

Also if you chose to work RSV on the weekends you will fly alot more. I typically fly once every two weeks because of the way I bid, and I bid that way because I live in CT.

Hope this helps.

What does UPS have to do with JetBlue first year pay?

Nothing. Thanks for trying to hijack the thread. But back to the topic... I have an interview coming up, and, if offered the job, I am trying to figure out how much of a pay cut I will be taking and for how long. I am a captain at regional with a family to support. I know in the not-so-long run the move to JB would be beneficial. I am just trying to make sure I could swing it financially for the first year or two. Thanks for all the input.

What does UPS have to do with JetBlue first year pay? He didn't anser the question. I've worked at both companies -- there is no comparison.

That is awesome. You are the man. I am happy it worked out for you, particularly since it is obvious that you are hyper sensitive. No that we have made you feel better perhaps you can not stress over whether or not someone accidently stepped on your delicate sensibilites.

All hail the UPS guy. There is NO comparison.

I would stay at your regional job as a Capt. This company is not in great shape. A320 upgrade is 7-8yrs, 190 is about 3. I recently talked to a guy who just interviewed and the upgrade times they were giving are bunk. I have been here 7 yrs and have seen a lot happen and change. Not all for the better either. Some good. Some bad.
