I didn't think the hanger was heated. I thought it was just for covering.

You might want to check that heat is actually on.

Daveman: Yes they are knockouts, but I've run into a few in Canada that would love to knock you out and take your monies. I'm sure it's no different over there. Be careful but enjoy!

Thanks for all the input. Our handler told us the hangar floor is heated and we will be required to have the tow bar put together and stowed next to the nose gear if we want to use the hangar. We are going to stay in the new Radisson down town. More expensive than other hotels, but we want to try it out. I think I will give the salo a miss, my cholesterol is high enough. But I do understand that good vodka will thin the blood fat out. Ukrainian grils are very hot and there is no shortage of gorgeous, blond lounge lizards in all the hotel bars. Like the man said, they might as easily rob you as knob you.

You might want to drain and purge the plane regardless just in case they decided to move you out for the day....

Salo is basically pork fat that has cured in vats and it is used as a spread on bread or whatever your heart desires. Sometimes it is cured with garlic or pepper. Taste like pig fat, only different. :p

No. It tastes exactly like pig fat. The one time I tried salo it was so gristly, I couldn't chew it apart. Then I tried to cut it with a steak knife and failed. If it wasn't so slimy it could be used for cargo net material.

Hootie boom balloties. We had issues getting Visa's at the Airport. Had to wait for about two hours. Obviously should have gotten them ahead of time but we didn't have time. Then there was an issue with departure tax leaving. Orange square is a lot of fun. There is a brew pub in one of the casinos that has great beer and food and its very cheap. I wish I could go back three times I year. I love the Ukraine.
