Kind of a dumb question but always been curious. How is the weather in the winter? Aside from the cold and the snow. I am just curious is it always a bumpy ride with the mountains and crazy weather coming in off the coast? Or is it pretty much like anywhere else?

Thanks

Alaska weather is the most overhyped thing in aviation. I am way more scared of flying in thunderstorms in the midwest or the rockies.

^ What he said! While Alaska has it's challenges, you learn to deal with them. Plan accordingly and be smart because it is big and remote. I lived and worked there for 30 years.

In my years in aviation, I think the most challenging place was Denver.
