Heard them on the radio today and asked where they were going... that's what they said....

... did the auction already happen? Pilots didn't know if they had been sold or not...

They're also altering the landing gear to make them low riders.

lolz~

thats great

however "low riders" is a Southern California latino gang-banger thing, they don't exist in Mexico, nor South Florida.

you drive up in a lowered Impala with candy apple art on the hood in Mexico and people will laugh at you

I would include AZ and NM in that too.

correct, absolutely

I guess I should say it originated in SOCAL, specifically in LA, by Mex-American chicanos who started it all

http://www.lowrider.com/information/history/nytimes.php

fly into Guadalajara or Monterrey and you won't see any lowriders, trust me.

The Mexican-American person (Mexican parents but born in USA and grown up in USA) and a Mexican person (some dude for example born in Guadalajara and raised there and now an adult there) are two HUGELY completely different people

The reason they don't have lowriders in Mexico is they would get striped and sold for parts just like in America.

that was profound...you are not a racist idiot or anything
as was mentioned, low riders and such are a cultural phenomena, and not racial.

Besides, I think our differences can be laughed at, I certainly would not think things like low riders are so sacred we cant make light of them.

actually it is indeed a cultural thing, however WhiteCloud is technically incorrect as lowriders do not exist in the country of Mexico

Good point. All kinds of people like low riders and all kinds of people like to make fun of them too.

I use to flight instruct with McCourt, is he still a tool? I thought he went to DAL.
Did you instruct at Nassau Flyers, Carl S.?

SM went from ACA to USAirways to DAL. Got furloughed from DAL and went back to ACA in some kind of management role. Made lots of friends flying the Airbus out of seniority.

Not sure where he is today.

I check for his name on the interview list each month.

Look in the w's, for Weasel.:smash:

Nassau Flyers rocked, except for the "Secret Club" that McCourt loved being in. I preferred to play softball, get drunk and party at the 56th Squadron with DWI-Dave!
