Hi BA737FO,

I fly a C172 in CO, and am into my IR, so don't look for any airline career advice from me. :)

I first visited the US in 1981, fell in love with the country and it's people instantly, one of them being my wife. It took many years just get a green card, and I'm finally a US citizen. Don't give up on your dream, that's my advice. Maybe the timing isn't right at the moment, we are going through a rough patch; but always keep that dream somewhere in sight.

I come originally from New Zealand (a long time ago).

On the morning of 9/11/01, only hours after those terrible events, someone at work said to me "don't you wish you'd stayed away from here now?". My response, which came out before I could even think about it, was "I've never been more proud to be anywhere but here now, these are my people".

Good luck with your immigration.

Bruce.
