A large amount of the first Delta class AUG 3ed will be flowing pilots from Compass and Mesaba. (no interview needed) Do those pilots need to have upto date logbooks when they arrive for class?

They don't have to do anything else so I doubt it, the elite delta job has gone by the
wayside, wrong place lucky time.....

"Same company" totally different qual. for pilots of DAL than
ever before.......

Yeah, maybe some will have the "qual." of being a little less arrogant. . .

I keed, I keed.

Well if it make's you feel any better the guys at Mesaba that are up for the flow were hired in 1995 and born in the 60's. We are happy to donate some of our cranky old guys to the Delta mainline pilot group.

I guess the question would be, what for? All flow-ups will already posses an ATP. I can't speak for the XJ language, but there are no specific hour requirements outlined in the CP language.

Delta may want to collect some hour information for their demographic purposes, in which case I'd highly doubt they'd have any cause for physically reviewing the pilot's logs.

why wouldn't you keep a current logbook?

I fly with a lot more guys that have not touched their logbook in years than pilots that are upto date.
What is the point when you have been working at the same place for 10 plus years. Once you maxed out on the pay scale and vacation. Live in the city you are based it is easy to just not care how much time you have. We can always look at the company's www to see what we have done.

I try to catch up on mine every 3-4 month.

Have these pilots been notified that they will be in class Aug 3? I thought the first class was going to be mostly recall guys. Is Aug 3 the first class? Any recalls care to comment?
