They should, seriously, be ashamed of themselves.

But, what goes around comes around. I don't think any of the mental giants running Flight Options have realized what they just did to their dwindling credibility. For a company that was already suffering from horrible PR, they just secured for themselves the certain reputation of being a scum-bag operation and NO new customers are going to be beating down the door to do business with them.

They have just demonstrated to the rest of the aviation industry, and hell, the entire business community of the United States, that they've run a company so pitifully that they "had" to lay off employees. Flight Options is laying off employees while other fractionals are expanding and hiring and buying more planes and gaining new customers and making profits. And this is the best that these people can do...

How pathetic. They just announced to the enitre world: "we are hopelessly incompetent, and do not have what it takes to run a company, and cannot succesfully administrate our business. We suck real bad, everybody."

These bastards hurt people; wives and children. They are just as bad as rapists, child molesters, wife beaters, and terrorists. Not one centimeter higher on the human scale. Not one.

Greed and pride at its very worst. How sickening. How utterly pathetic.

They haven't had credibility since 2001. I remember how everyone told me I should go to work there (or ASA.) "It's the highest paid fractional!" How times have changed...

skanza

pull your head out of your spider hole

FLOPS has been going out of busines and morfing into the MESA of business aviation for at least 2 years while the other frax have chosen to take the "high road" --- the "low rent option" Scheeringa has chosen will lead to the company ceasing operations before the 2012 plan gets to 2010 --- you have to have customers.......

someone with sense...

It is never good to hear of people being laid off or terminated. The impact on families and the breadwinner are tremendous. There is no joy either for managing these type things either. For all the talk about union non-union, the fact is that if NJ ahd to terminate 200 pilots due to the economy sinking, would it make much difference because they are a union organization. All this talk is pretty unproductive but I guess it lets people vent. Businesses fail for a lot of reasons, some valid, some poor management, bad calls, regulations change, values change, all kinds of things. They rarely fail because someone wants to beat up employees.

This is the kind of thing I'm trying to say too. Just an objective view that doesn't support management or the union. But since there's so much union support here, any bit of defense I give to management is taken way too far.
Thanks Publishers...

it's a shame what happened to RF, what about JW? did he survive the fallout?

Yes, he did. Rick was the only casualty to that department.

well from what i heard, RF fostered a good working relationship with the faa. It will be interesting to see how things carry on. I know from my experience, JW is a good guy but it is sad to see someone put in that position. Then again, it is commendable to see someone stand firm behind their morals. It is just a shame what happened as a result!
