Just looked at the new SOP on the pilots' website. Section 2-5 (fitness for Duty) paragraph (b) states: "Normally, absences of more
than 3 days will require documentation from a physician to the Program Manager."

No need to get up in arms about this. Maybe we should make sure we ourselves are not guilty of spreading FUD.

 
It really is not a big deal. I busted my ribs, went to see the Dr., and now have some time off. Two weeks, no work ... period. Next two weeks, no lifting/pulling more than 10 lbs (my suitcase?)... may go back, may not.

Callled my PM and faxed a note. The only question was how it happened, and after the laughter stopped, I was wished a speedy recovery. No issues and certainly no big deal.
