Flight schools Houston TX area

Anyone can tell me a good flight school near Houston TX area, I will be there for few weeks and I would like to fly few hours down there.

United Flight Systems based at DWH is the best in the State; possibly the Country. This is assuming they don’t go floating away Friday.

I recommend TSTC in waco. I went there and it was a good school. I am from Houston and looked for the same thing when i started. www.theflightcollege.com

try the flight school at SGR (Sugarland)...used to be Sugarland Aviation is now Anson Air. I was a CFI/MEI back there in 2000-2001.

United Flight Systems

I can second what Texan Aviator said about United Flight Systems at Hooks Airport (DWH) just northwest of Houston. It's a great school that has been around for at least 12 years, I got my PPL there back in '94 and went back to finish up my multi-commercial/instrument using my VA benefits. Great family runs the place, couldn't recommend more.

Fletcher aviation out of Houston Hobby, been quite awhile so can't comment on the current rates. They did have many AA5A's, V35, 172, Cougar's, a Decath, and others.

United Flight is good. I flew out of the College Station location 10+ years ago.
