Always the topic of hanger flying, what exactly does ATC see on a flight plan. I have heard alternates don't show up, remarks don't show up, etc.

Just curious as to what the real deal is.

We see remarks, but not alternates.

We get call sign, type, equipment suffix, transponder code, route of flight, filed altitude, filed airspeed, and remarks.

Once while flying from Key West to Panama City I had filed an alternate of Zephyr Hills. Enroute we started getting moved around and dropped to the point I finally asked ATC what was going on and they said didn't you want to go to your alternate Zephyr Hills that is what last controller told us. Never once mentioned the alternate in any conversation with ATC at any time nor did it ever come up until I queried it.

Any idea how things got changed? Thanks for the answer on the other stuff.

I didn't know you were a controller. I just thought you came on here to find out about Jake. :)
