Looks like the pilot attrition finally got their attention. Hmmmm - only three domicile choices this time around. I'll bet some ASA pilots in Atlanta will take the bait. I wonder what the projected upgrade time will be?

It's a life sentance ... in the right seat. :eek:

Isn't LAS a tier 2? Thought you could only new hire into a tier 1? That's right, no contract ... they can change the rules when ever they want.

Yup, and some have tried to re-domicile to DEN and were told that it was not available. Ha, Ha, Ha!!!

Warning! If you come to FLOPs be prepared for the rough ride ahead!!! Go IBT1108!!!

P.S. 5 years++ for upgrade

Depends what your career goals are...

If they are 121 stay where you are...

Corporate or fractional it might not be a bad decision. My guess is that it will be fairly easy to get on here as long as you meet the advertised mins. Net Jets is definitely the best choice, but if you don't have their mins. and want to get a taste of the fracts, what the heck...

My best guess is that we still have a year of pain with the contract negotiations.

The future is still fuzzy though... Raytheon doesn't need us - Rumor is Embraer might partner/buy us...Wish I had the crystal ball...

Is Options better than say a pretty good regional like Skywest or Reublic or Horizon?

Flight Options is run by a guy who used to run USAirways' Express division. He was not liked there and he is not popular at Flight Options from what I have heard. Most FO people I have spoken with have encouraged me to apply anywhere but FO. Netjets is the clear winner in terms of recommendations from existing FO pilots. I think that says a lot.......

I wouldn't leave a solid regional job for Flight Options. I would, however, consider a Netjets job vs. a job with any low-cost carrier (including Southwest).

Upgrade about 8+ years.

If you want to get on say all the right things in the interview then join the union and pay your dues since there are a lot of good guys working to get you a good contract.

Retro-active pay cuts, retro-active per diem cuts, retro-active health care cost increases ... what's not to like about our CEO. :laugh: Those are just a few examples of what he took from the last employee group ... many who bailed to this place in hopes of a better future. But alas, he's managed to run Options into the ground also.

Run Forest Run.

Not to completely hi-jack the question of upgrade ... 8 years minimum as it stands today. :bawling:
