Hey finj, dont forget that sending in your card is not a "yes" vote, but rather you are just petitioning to allow for an official union drive. So, you can send in your card, but still decide to vote no when the time comes.

So there is no harm in sending in the card. At the very least, it will keep pressure on the company start paying attention to the CAB.

It works great......except for one thing

Can someone refresh my memory on how to ignore someone here? I've had enough of the idiot known as B19, and for Christmas, I want to never read anything from him again.

It works great......except for one thing.

Its great to open a thread and not see the rantings of this union busting, SCAB moron, but, people keep quoting his crap in the post they continue to reply to him in. This is exactly what his game is, create distraction away form the issues by waving his union busters flag thereby disrupting you guys from discussing your real concerns. Ignore him and he will go away.

Ignore the a$$hole his bull$hit is not worth getting your thread side tracked.

actually I am a senior FO for those who wonder, and I still did not get christmas off but the junior guys did, i am not complaining too much as home reserve has been pretty good to me but talking to others that will end soon when my upgrade comes

one more thing, i still think we should wait and see what happens in January before everybody gets too upset, Flex still seems like a pretty good place to work.

One more thing, I promise. Look at Comair they were the highest paid in the regional world and best place to work after their successful strike that resulted in nice pay raises. Things are bad for them now. Delta used to be the same not so anymore. I am not saying anything but this is aviation and what looks good now and what the union gets may not always work out in the end. I am not trying to imply anything but it is something to think about. I apologize for my grammar, never my strong point but I am fairly decent at math and science.

Finjjl,

I could not agree with you more. That is a concern that I have as well.

Also, regarding your earlier question regardng APC, all they posted were new bases. The pay was never put on there.

Comair is different from a frac in that 1) they do 100% contract work for another carrier and do not market on their own, 2) the level of service is secondary to cost with contract flying, and 3) because of the above reasons, Delta can simply reduce Comair's flying and replace them with a cheaper carrier if they so desire. As frac pilots, we work for our own brand names and set ourselves apart from the airlines with the services that we provide. We are all worth what we make, if not more, and are not competing with each other based soley on cost. The bar has just been set a little higher and I hope that all fractional pilots are able to meet that level.

well, there are 435ish pilots, and about 210 have signed up on the ibt1108.org message board. So there are certainly a lot of people interested. That doesn't mean that there are 210 cards tho, could be more or less. Not sure how many cards are officially in...

Nobody home at the fax for the cards. Are they off for the holidays?

I just love it when someone starts comparing Comair to a fractional. Come on man, you're not even in the same game making this comparison.

Also, I see a vote happening very soon. The silence and brushing off we've received from the top lately is indicative of what will happen in the future. We've had no CEO for months now and we have no Chief Pilot and no reason to expect an announcement on that any time soon. An announcement about when the "announcement" will be is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Why not just tell us, good god.

This is my opinion: If the "announcement" was very good news for us, it would have been made prior to the holidays to boost morale and productivity. The fact that we wait until after the peak days can only mean mediocrity and short comings.

Amen Brother!
