I just took my short recurrent ride. 3 people coming into the 60 below me! Woohoo!:D

Why the hiring?

Why is Flexjet hiring? Growth, attrition or retirements? When I left in 2002 there were about 60 planes and 300 pilots.
What are the numbers now? How many planes and pilots?
How long to upgrade?

Just under 100 planes and right at 400 pilots. Upgrade running 2 to 2 1/2 years, but I bet that slows down some.

mmm..I dunno if I agree about it slowing down. Attrition is moving me up the list pretty good. Out of my new hire class of 8, 5 have left. And I just heard of another 60 FO leaving....

The pilot surplus seems to be turning around and people are moving on to bigger and better things. Most of the regionals are having trouble filling classes too and are offering hiring bonuses now. Mesa (sucks!) is handing out $5000 to their new hires...

Dream or Nightmare?
