As said before, the 604 is the best job inside of Flex.

604

And the all the problems associated with the 604 F/O's upgrading into the lear proves your point.

I truly feel sorry for the F/O's that have to fly with the crusty old men in the 604's. Some won't let you fly one leg, EVER! Empty or live, EVER. They are the biggest whiners and complainers in the company. They can't STAND to do anything but a 604 trip, even though we ALL fly FLEXJET customers. You won't learn anything sitting in the right seat of the 604 except how to NOT treat your F/O's as a captain, in my opinion. We can only hope that more 45 captains move into the 604 to help this problem--as some have already.

don't ask, don't tell

No union

The training department is just like the rest of the company. Their goal is to get everyone passed. Think of from an economics stand point. For 1 new hire, it cost the company approximately $30,000 in one month. That consists of the training, pay for the new hire, per diem, hotels, airline and any other cost that I can't think of right now.

That being said, if you are a lousy stick, and should not be driving a car, don't expect to pass. If you go in and decide that you are the Bob Hoover of the fractional industry and don't feel you need to study, well then, good luck.

Most people pass their rides. However, you do have the types above who obviously don't. Whether you pass or fail is totally up to you. The training center does not go out to bust people. Even the guys that people want out of the company.

Good Luck.
