Trumansparks,

Obviously you worked in the training center with the company whore attitude you project. Tell me what the DO has done that you say he has done a good job??

When we had our meetings about the new payscale, the DO could NOT answer any single question asked in those meetings. In fact, he bailed out of the room and disappeared when it got too heated. A complete coward with a regional airline attitude in my opinion.

Food Complaints? Quit-Yer-Bitchin'. I'm sure you could push back a little from the table.

yeah i'm sure everyone needs to be flying around starved all the time. Welcome to the slippery slide folks.

ArtVandalay,
Assuming that Trumansparks was a "training center whore" just because he posted positively about Flex shows you are not interested in hearing truth. You have no idea who is he is - and you are inaccurate in assuming that anyone who supports Flex is a company "whore". I know that he is telling the truth about his continued contacts with Flex and if you only knew who you were talking to, you would regret your post! Yes, I do know who he is and my husband greatly respects his opinions on a wide range of things. If you would research his past posts you would realize he is thoughtful and thorough in his thinking. And calling the training center a group of company "whores" tells me you don't know anything about them. You might look to the standards captains as more "pro-company" than anyone else.

There are plenty of Flex people that are happy with this company. And yes, I am coming at this from a family perspective that is so often "trumpeted" on this website. Flex has things to fix and work on. Pers-headwall said it very well earlier - stick to your important talking points. If you focus on a few important matters you will make a difference.

flex-O,
Who are you? I think you sound a lot like someone who posted on this site a couple of months ago - working very hard to get the union going. Post specific complaints if you have them - wet bags for breakfast? Stick to the main points guys - pay and DUTY DAYS

Sticking to the main point---

A contract that recognizes Flex pilots for the professionals they are and gives them representation in the issues that affect them.
I do think that should about cover it, don't y'all?

For those of you who intend to grace us all with the newsflash that I'm a NJ wife rather than a Flex wife  I 'll remind you that that doesn't detract from my ability to be concerned for others who are going through what my family and NJ friends have gone through. To the hard-hearted ones among us who doubt my sincerity, you can look at it from a financial perspective if it so pleases you. I have no desire to see the low wages of other frac pilots used against the NJ group when it is time to go back to the table to secure the achievements we have made in raising the bar in the frac industry. Note: in proofreading my post I caught that "we". I usually change things like that (in this case to "they") but in light of the pride I feel in the NJ pilot group and the contribution of my family, this time I'll leave it.

It has been my experience that those too fearful to stand up for themselves become quite adept at rationalizing their behavior. Realize that there will be those in your group that you have to save from themselves. Sad but not surprising.

My regards,
NJW

Wrong, Fozzy!

That word was certainly not lost to me, but in recognition that there are varying degrees of fear, I chose different language.

Besides, I felt comfortable leaving it to discerning readers, such as yourself, to read between the lines. :)

I trust that the fair-minded will apply that label only where it fits.

Netjetwife,
This may be a "newsflash" to you to realize that not all of us care if you are sincere in your intentions toward OUR company or not. What OUR lives are like and OUR interest in OUR company have NOTHING to do with you. You will notice I have been a member of this board much longer than you, so I have a long term perspective on these issues, especially concerning OUR company. When you first joined this board, I have to admit I was glad to see another wife supporting her husband and trying to stay active in the issues. But you need to remember that the one who speaks the most does not always get heard. I appreciate your interest in these issues, but I stopped reading your comments a long time ago, because they were everywhere.

Flexjet unionizing or not is irrelevant (somewhat) to me. Flexjet has taken good care of my family for a long time! If the pilots group at OUR company chooses to unionize, I would fully support it. After all - they are the ones that are actually working there - and they are the ones to best decide how to proceed.

Come on Pilotswife, NJW is going to save the whole aviation world with her socialistic views.....just ask her, she has all the answers! And she's not even in the industry or part of a flight crew. Wow, she must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Select last night to gain all the knowledge about aviation that is in her brain.....
