Dad: "Don't worry, son, we'll just drive around on the ground, and if you don't like it, you hop out. Deal?"

Bro: "Okay, that doesn't sound so bad."

Vrrrrrrooom...you know the rest. But he actually ended up really enjoying it. Careful, though -- it can be a two-way street between extreme enjoyment and extreme resentment. Some people, take it or leave it, just aren't too into flying.
