I went from a 172 to a B200, too. It ain't brain surgury. But it sure is FUN, ain't it? :)
 
The 200 is a nice machine. Sounds like a good guy, learn everything you can from him and watch how he flies. Show up early, clean the airplane, get out/ put away charts....all that sh!t. Make flash cards and learn the limitations of the airplane. Before you know it - he'll be like me, letting you fly in the left seat on empty legs while I read the the sports section.
