Fellow SWA pilot headset question???

Hey gang, I was wondering if any of you have insight on which is the better Sennheiser headset to go with, in terms of good noise reduction and still being able to hear the other guy? You guys are aware of the two common models (HMEC-25 and 45). I want to make the plunge and get one, I like the 25 model but not if you are constantly having to pull it away from your ear to hear the other guy since it covers the entire ear, as opposed to the 45 which is more of an open air style. Anyways I'd being interested in hearing both pros and cons with both models.

go with the -45s

I have been using them for 4+ years in the Lear 55, GREAT headset!!! Major $$, but worth every penny!!

I like my 45s

I got the 45s and haven't regretted it. I never have to pull them off my inside ear, but w/ a couple guys I've turned the inside ear volume down (I've got the stereo model).
