Did you guys see the memo that CS sent to us on Sat via FedEx...such freakin BS...and than PT's weekly message....all they did was help this group get pissed off and unite some more...what was your guys impression

another unsubstantied rumor?

Had a 9E crew stop me the other day and ask me "do you know WTF a CR8 is?" They speculated it was a -900 with 80 something seats (told me their 44 seaters are known as CR4s) but weren't 100% sure.

Said a new NWA schedule showed a 'CR8' operating IND-FLL starting in either September or October, but didn't list who would be operating it.

Those weren't the brightest 9E pilots. 9E refers to the CRJ's we have equiped with Flaps 8' as CR8. Also, our last Jepp rev. had FLL in it.

How many of your planes have Flaps 8? All the ones I've ever been fortunate enough to jumpseat on had 20 only, which admittedly was alot different than our airplanes.

It made for 5 minutes of interesting conversation anyway...I think I prefer the conspiracy theories to the facts.

Basically it was a memo from mgt talking about the current proposal and how inaccurate the info from the union is...I call BS

How many of your planes have Flaps 8?

I can't remember exactly, but I want to say 35. May only be 25.

Most of the newest ones (NxxxAY tail #'s) had them when they were delivered, but they were 44 seaters (originally), so many of them had the flaps 8 removed and installed on older (50 seat) airplanes.

PS: And the letter (and weekly message) from mgmt was the biggest piece of BS I have ever seen. Basicly called our MEC liars, despite written evidence to the contrary. Gave the typical mgmt line "if the pilot dont' sign (this piece of S***), the whole company will go out of buisiness".

to fill you in even more, about a week ago we got a memo from our MEC chairman that stated where we were at in negotiations with management. Basically mgt is screwing us was what this memo said.

I think the best part is that the memo from the MEC said "management will try to tell you that we are not working in your best interest". That right there is comedy!:beer:

No kidding. The admin folks in MEM are so incompetent, I shouldn't even be surprised that they FedEx'ed (SAT delivery no less) empty envelopes.

But it's the pilots keeping this place down...
