I'm STOKED!!! We'll get this SLI crizap behind us and move on to become one kick-ass machine! To all my future AAI bros....you're gonna love working for SWA! I mean that sincerely. I'm a former legacy guy who came to SWA after being furloughed, and I can tell you first-hand that the difference is beyond night and day. The culture is real. The people are wonderful. And you really are becoming part of a big 'ol crazy family. You'll work your arse off, but you'll be valued, appreciated and well taken care of. And now when passengers ask if you were ever in the military, you can say "not until I started working for Southwest". Kidding! Just a little knock on the Air Force-ish way we do things. You'll love it. I'm looking forward to flying with y'all!!!

Wow. Almost two pages and it is still positive with no crew room lawyers debating the meaning of section 5 paragraph 3 of the process agreement and what it really means. Restores my faith in humanity! A little bit.

All of the SWA pilots I have talked to in person have all been very positive about the future. It is only a few on this site that have been negative. Maybe I don't get out enough..

I was one of the 12 fortunate pilots in 73 recurrent the day BT (head of training before his retirement) and his minions showed up and spoke to us for two hours. He had just gotten out of the 71 sim and said he was impressed with the avionics. He gave us quite a nice talk. He said there was an angry 10% there just like any other place....

Its a crazy industry and a lot of us at SWA in the FO ranks have had our expectations readjusted due to events...I welcome all AIRTRAN pilots to our ranks and the sooner we get the SLI business over and digested the better. For the junior (former) AT CPs: be nice to your 10+ year SWA FOs...
