Quick question for the FedEx types.

I see on your site the qualifications for some training jobs are less than what is needed to apply as a FedEx pilot. Is there a career track from training to flight ops? Could any of these be waived? I'd love to get into the FedEx family sooner rather than later!

After 3 years in the training dept you get a guaranteed job on the line.

i think SWA does (or did) the same thing...train for 3 years, get a slot ;)

I was told by a FDX guy it was an automatic slot.

When's the app gonna open for folks that didn't update after Nov 2008? Who do ya thinks gonna get the interview, other heavy cargo guys, guys at places like Emirates on the 777, IP's at regionals or other major pilots?????

I heard the 24th. It was supposed to be today but it got pushed back.

Any idea on pay or schedule? Does it involve much ground instructing or mostly sim?
You're either a ground instructor or a sim instructor from what I can tell from the job description.
